But we are holding up and finding new things to entertain ourselves...
(Bobbers hair style courtesy of herself and carrot juice.)
Luke has also been doing a lot of this...
Walking with this toy or laundry baskets.
I thought for sure Aubs would walk first because she stands up by herself, not holding on to anything. She has taken one step a handful of times.
Well I was wrong. Yesterday Mr. Luke took a few steps to Porter who was holding out a pea for him. I grabbed my camera and stood Luke up again and held one hand out for him and snapped this with my other hand as Luke WALKED to me!! It was only about three steps but he did it again today.
I feel as excited as Lukey looks. I really do. Do you know how much easier it will be to drop-off and pick Porter up from school when Luke and Aubs can walk? One of the teachers I pass every day looked at me carrying both babies and said, "You are good at that. I have seen you with a stroller and both cars-seats too." I told her I was trying to figure out what was the easiest way to get all three of us in there to get Porter from his classroom. I have come to the conclusion that once the babies can walk it will get easier because both car seats are too heavy and the stroller is a pain to get in and out of the car to use it for two seconds. I take up the entire hallway with both of those methods and some people are not understanding. Jerks. Plus have you seen those little Ernie stride rite shoes!!! What! They are SO cute. I promised Luke I would buy them for him as soon as he starts walking more regularly.
Oh yeah Porter started school last Monday. All the preschool classes where I wanted to take him were completely full and had about a million people on the waiting list so I put him in private kindergarten. Its at the same place as the preschool I wanted and since it is private I can still send him to public kindergarten next year. We are calling it preschool.
Here he is on his first day!
He is learning a lot already. His teacher was having each of the kids spell a two letter word that they have been working on as they were leaving for the day. She asked Porter to spell the word he. Porter looked at her all blank so she helped him. Then he came running out to me saying, "H...E... Mom! H....E!" I said, "good job buddy! What does that spell?" He said, "on." Pretty close.
Enough about the boys. Bobbers woke up this morning looking like this...
She is a morning girl. The huge bruise is from her face planting it, from her knees, on the kitchen floor. I have no idea what her hands were doing but they did not break her fall at all. The giant scratch. I have no idea. I know it was not there when I put her to bed last night and her fingernails are nice and clipped. Poor little princess.
Now to leave you with a bath time picture because it is my favorite!
And that pretty much sums up days 1-3!

Oh Boy! If Jason doesn't miss them after all that excitement!!?? Poor little Aub :(.
I miss my babies.
Dad laughed.out loud when he read Porter's spelling of "on" and then he gasped when he saw Aub's face! Really fun post!
Is that expensive to send him to private kindergarten? Is it every day as well? I am also looking forward to them walking for the exact same reason. I can't tell you how many times I get, "You don't need a gym membership with those two!" I still do need one because I still have not lost weight! I still want together! Back to the walking..I wish mine were close, but they aren't even close at all. You kids have done everything so quickly! Anyhow, love your kiddos! All of them are sooo cute!
So cute! I can't believe Luke is already getting ready to walk! Betsy is still just chillin! She just started crawling a few days ago!! Silly girl! And Owen misses Porter sooooo Much! It was such a sad first day of school for him!! I love that I can show him pictures of Porter from your blog! Owen loves that!
I love that post! Porter is such a riot! And the babies...oh my goodness...you are one busy lady. But with kids that awesome, it's totally worth it.
