Eight Months

Luke and Aubree are now eight months as of the 12th.

Lukey Luke:
Still no teeth! Not even the slightest sign of one!
He is just about to crawl. He is a pro at the army crawl and can get wherever he wants to go.(Things are about to get super busy for me!) He also gets up on his hands and knees and rocks. He gets into 'plank' position a lot too, kinda odd?
He is becoming a much more content little guy and is loving being able to just sit on the floor and play with toys. He loves this little soccer ball and will play with it forever. He pats it and pats it and says, "ballballballball!" I really think he is saying ball because he dosen't say that any other time. Porter's first word was ball too! Luke is such a happy kid lately and laughs a ton, especially at Porter and when he is being tickled. Luke also has really good fine motor skills and is using his pincer fingers to eat his cheerios! Hooray for Lukey!

Auber Bob:
She is a crazy mobile little thing. She crawls everywhere and she is fast too! She can pull herself up to standing on furniture and is starting to figure out how to cruise along it but she is still pretty uncoordinated at it. Meaning she falls a lot and requires absolute constant supervision. Every morning I find her in her crib standing up yelling, "mamaaaaa!" Speaking of yelling, we have a little boss on our hands. She yells at her brothers like crazy. If they even look at her toy she starts yelling gibberish at them. She is a really happy girl too and rarely cries. She is still a total mommy's girl, but will also go to Jason just fine. She LOVES playing peek-a-boo! She is starting to laugh a lit more too.

SLEEPING:
They are both still taking about an hour or more nap at nine in the morning another two-three hour nap around two in the afternoon and are in bed for the night no later then seven. They sleep until about six-thirty or seven in the morning. I think they are about to drop the morning nap and then I will move the afternoon nap up to noon and hope they sleep for three hours....

EATING:
They are both also just about to stop taking a bottle (by their choice not mine). I am going to try to keep them on it as long as possible. Porter absolutely refused his bottle at ten months and I am really hoping to keep these two on theirs, at least a couple a day, until they are one... They are MUCH smaller then Porter was so I feel like they need it. My pediatrician told me I could start whole milk at ten months which I may have to do. I guess I need to get them a little better with sippy cups this next month. They are growing up too fast.

Yes, this is cake. Could be some of the reason they don't want bottles anymore?

Soaky Babies

They both love being outside or in shopping carts. Luke is really good in the stroller and the car too. Aubree, not so much. I think its far too confining for her.

Porter had to sit in the playpen with the babies in order for Aubree to stay in it so I could make dinner.

Some Porter news.

He was taking a bunch of pictures with my camera one morning. I think these are so cool from a four year old's view....

Porter has been asking and asking for Owen to come play. Jason was home one day so we decided it would be fun to go to Chucky Cheese and bring Owen for Porter to play with. They had a blast and are so funny together. I loved listening to their little conversations. Porter is constantly asking questions so it was nice to have someone else Porter could rapid fire his questions at. They were talking about seat belts and Porter had a million questions about Owen's opinion about them. Finally Owen said, "Porter just don't take your seat belt off. I don't want to talk about this anymore." That is exactly how I feel some days.

Too fun! Clif and I love the picture of Aubree standing. She is so mobile. Neither of my girls have teeth and neither are crawling either. Haleigh probably would be if she hadn't broke her leg again! She is going everywhere just not on her knees! Anyhow, they are both so so cute! I wish my kids would give up milk, aka me, so I could be done!

Oh my heck!! I Love it!! And that totally sounds like Owen!! LOL!! I love the pictures!! Thanks for posting them! I can't believe how mobile your little ones are! Betsy is still perfectly content rolling around the room to get where she wants to go!! I think she is following more after Jesse who didn't walk until he was 17 months old!! Which I am perfectly okay with! :)

I can't believe the babes are moving around so much! Luke already looks soo much older than he used to, it's crazy! Porter is such a good kid to sit in the playpen so Aubs would stay! She sounds like you when you were a baby...always on the go! Omg, I laughed so hard at Owen's comment to Porter...he really does rapid fire questions, that's the perfect way to describe it. And. Love the pics porter took! That is awesome! His face is too funny in the last pic, what a ham!
