Luke and Aubree are FOUR MONTHS - well they were on the 12th but Jason and I got a night off so I was OUT on their actual 'birthday' (thanks mom)! It has gone by so incredibly fast. I can't believe they are already four months.
We had their baby well check up and shots on the 10th. They were little baby rock stars if you ask me.
Lukey Luke:
Weight: 13 lbs. 1 oz. (15%)
Height:24 1/4 in. (25%)
Auber Bobs:
Weight: 12 lbs. (20%)
Height: 23 3/4 in. (35%)
ROLLING:
Aubree is rolling belly to back and back to belly, I may have mentioned this already because she has been doing it for at least a month now (like I said, ROCK STAR). Luke still has yet to roll either way. He is either just content to be on his belly or he cries and I pick him up.
TALKING:
Luke is definitely our little talker! He babbles and coos and screams. It is my favorite thing ever. Aubree is pretty quiet (unless she is crying) but she will talk some. Her voice is really raspy and cute. They both laughed for the first time when we were in St. George and both have a few times since we have been home. Aubree gives a huge open mouth smile and looks like she is laughing but no sound comes out.
PLAYING:
Luke still loves toys and Aubree is liking them more and more. Both babies grab at everything and Aubree puts everything in her mouth. They both grasp their little hands together and gnaw on them. Aubree also found her feet and plays with them some. It is getting so fun now that they are awake longer periods and so interactive.
SLEEPING:
We had been waking them both up every four to keep them on the same schedule, but after their appointment we decided to throw that out the window and stop waking them up. The doctor looked at us like we were insane for waking them up and told up to quit it. It honestly seems so much easier to let them be on their own schedules (this far, its only been 4 days). I really hope I don't regret it.
Luke is an excellent little napper lately and takes two naps a day for at least two hours at a time on a pretty regular schedule. He pretty much stayed on the same schedule we tried to have them on, eating every four hours, staying up for two hours and then napping for two hours. Aubree is not as great of a napper as consistently right now, but it seems like every time I think I have one of them sleeping good for naps or at night it changes and they swap places being good sleepers. They both like to be held to fall asleep which I love, but it is really hard with two, but with them on their own schedules I am able to do it easier now.
EATING:
They both eat up to 6 ounces a feeding. Luke eats about every four hours and Aubree eats every four to six hours. Luke recognizes his bottle and gets very excited for it. I tried giving them both rice cereal on Saturday, but it seemed to constipate them some so I am going to give it a few days and try a little again. Both of them seemed to like it. I gave it to them in a feeder and not with a spoon (gasp I know, but I wanted to see if it helped them sleep longer), but next time I think I will try the spoon and see how they like it. I remember the first time we gave Porter rice cereal he LOVED it and I could not feed him fast enough.
I know MY BABIES HAVE CRAZY HAIR! I gave Luke a hair cut, just a little off the top. I measured his hair on top of his head that stands straight up and it was 2.5 inches long!

Ash, LOVED the update!!! I too can't believe these cute little babies are 4 months!!! I wish I would have written down in detail everything from when Halle was tiny! You always think your going to remember but it is amazing how quickly you forget! Can't wait to see you again! Loved all the pics!
I loved hearring about your babies and how they are! I miss comparing with you! Allyson hasn't been sleeping at all lately and they both still cry so much! We have tried the rice ceral and my babies hate it, but they love the carrots!
