We have taken the babies to:
- My brother and sister in-laws house with my husband's entire family (minus Uncle Matt) on new years eve day.
- The aquarium with my Aunts Amy & Jill, Uncle Roger, Lucy, Logan, & my grandparents.
- To Zupas and the mall with me and my mom and Dana.
- To a new twin parents seminar at IMC with me, Jason and Porter
- To Costco and Target and Cafe Rio with Jason, Porter and I
It feels seriously amazing to get out of the house! Jason has until the middle of February until his next rotation starts so we have a lot more plans until then including getting to Church this Sunday! Porter and I are absolutely loving having Jason home so much. I am all caught up on sleep, cleaning and laundry!
On a different note... CHRISTMAS!
We had a great Christmas. In the morning Porter opened his presents from Santa. Every Christmas before this one it has taken Porter a few DAYS to open all his presents. This year we started at about 9 AM and it only took him until about 7 PM to open them all! He is the kind of kid that wants to stop and play with everything. Jason was on his 'on' week at work (for the THIRD Christmas in a row) so he had to go to bed pretty early. That left me playing every single game and toy Porter got for Christmas with him. It was actuall really fun. My mom helped me with the babies and I sat on the living room floor with Porter the entire day and played. My favorite thing Porter got for Christmas was the Cat in the Hat I Can Do That game. So cute and hilarious! My Aunt Natalie gave it to him. Whatever she gets him always ends up being one of his favorite things. This year he got a ton of Mario stuff, games (board and video) and books.
Jason video recorded all Christmas morning and I did not take one single picture! I hate it when I do that! Its just so busy and I was holding a baby and helping Porter. I did snap a quick picture of the gifts before the kids saw them but once we got going I completely forgot. I am SO mad though because it was Luke and Bree's first Christmas!
The TWINS also turned 3 months two days ago on the 12th!
Jason and I were just talking today about how different they are from each other.
Luke weighs a good 2 pounds more than Bree. She is just so tiny still. She really is the happiest baby and when she is awake she is smiling unless she is hungry or about to fall asleep then she can really freak out and she is SO loud. She is VERY easily soothed though and is generally really laid back. Lately she loves sitting in the Bumbo chair and her dad. If Jason is even in the next room and talks Aubree starts smiling and whipping her head around to look for him. Jason says it feels way different to have a little girl :) He is in for it!
Luke is smiling a ton lately too. Both babies love the changing table and getting their diapers changed. Luke is such a TALKER (just like Porter)! The kid will look you right in the eyes and just talk and talk. It is the funniest thing he gurgles and sighs and grunts and chatters a lot. He will usually do it when he is happy but he also does it when he is mad. Instead of crying sometimes he will yell and talk when he is mad or when he wants to be picked up! I need to get it on video because I have never seen a more vocal kid, besides Porter. If Luke continues to talk even half as much as Porter we are all in for it. Lately Luke loves toys! If I shake a toy or rattle above his head he smiles and talks to it and tries to bat at it. Bree could care less about the toys really she likes people in her face talking to her.
They are both starting to be awake a lot more and they are just so fun. They are both becoming such good little sleepers! They eat at 8 PM and fall asleep pretty quick after eating then sleep until at least Midnight then eat again and go right back to sleep. When I have them in my room with me they will (a lot of the time) sleep until 8 AM sometimes they do wake up to eat again as early as 6 AM though. Luke still has not rolled over he is just content to be on his belly and when he wants to be done he just cries and I can't let him get mad enough to kick over, its too hard for me. Bree is a super star in the moving department. She rolls over from belly to back and it looks like she can almost go from back to belly. When she does tummy time I swear she only lets her tiny bellybutton touch the ground! She does the "supergirl" stretch with her feet and arms up in the air. She also wiggles out of her blankets every night. I have to put her in a one piece sleeper at night or else she gets her pants, socks and blankets off and freezes. My little Luke still loves to be swaddled. They are just getting too big too fast!
PORTER is amazing as usual. He has started swimming lessons again and he loves his teacher. He is such a cute big brother and loves the twins. We have had 2 problems recently including trying to drop Aubree and stepping on Luke...
Here are some pictures relating to this post :)

Aubree, Brinley and Halle

Grandma Bingham with ALL her Granddaughters (3 girls 6 boys)

Aubree- Just after her bath I got her new jeans and wanted to take her picture in them but she freaked out and wanted to sleep to I had to give her a binky and this is all I got!

Luke - So tired in his new favorite place, my wrap (only facing out!) I have spent hours walking him around the house like this because he gets really mad if I sit down or try to take him out.

So not fair that they are sleeping that long! I also can't believe she is rolling over.I am terrible at tummy time. They are always sleeping and I just forget. Anyhow, I want to know more about the Cat and the Hat game...my son loves games.
